My students need music stands to hold their music for performances. They currently only have enough for half the class.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Since I've been at my school we've been building the music program into a wonderful showcase of talent. However, most of our support equipment is outdated and makes it hard for students to read music during performances. We are in need of more music stands so students can read music for performances.
My students come from a low socioeconomic area and have never read music on stands before.
When I introduced them to music stands and taught them how to adjust them for the very first time we had several students who ended up catapulting their music across the room. Having enough music stands for performances would not only help fluency in reading music but would also help students prepare to continue music after elementary school.
Students will use the music stands to hold music within their sight not only during class but for performances as well. Students will be able to have access to this technology throughout the year and it will benefit the entire student body. They have been excelling at learning to read music and should get the chance to have it in front of them to read!
The donations will encourage students to continue to read music in class and at performances.
This boost in confidence will hopefully lead to an increase in the number of students who continue music after elementary school as well.
