Stand Up For Learning

My students need standing desks. Many students enjoy being able to stand or move around while working. Having a standing desk allows those students to have the movement that they need for focus.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day, with huge smiles and ready to learn. They enjoy new challenges and love learning! I believe that ALL students can learn and will learn in a way that's fun and exciting. We are taking on the challenge of project based learning this year! It's an innovative way of teaching that will provide amazing results.

I teach at a Title 1 school in NC, with a diverse population of students.

We have many languages and cultures represented which makes it an amazing place to learn!

My Project

Students will have the opportunity use a standing desk to allow for movement while working. Many students are not able to focus sitting in a desk. They need the freedom to stand and move around while working. Research shows that standing desks have many health benefits as well.

Having this opportunity will allow students to have the focus that they need during work time as well as cater to their specific learning style.

All students learn in a different way and I truly believe in letting students learn the way they feel most comfortable. We are very excited to go on this new journey into flexible seating.
