My class is a bright, eager and active group of second graders ready for learning!
We are a K-5 building with students coming together from a variety of backgrounds ready to learn and explore through hands-on activities and physically active learning opportunities. Our school community is a close-knit family with students, parents, teachers and volunteers working together to make all students great and ready for their futures.
My students love moving and exploring throughout the school day! They enjoy flexible seating choices, stretching, brain gym, Adventures in Learning and movement, movement, movement!
My Project
My students have expressed an interest in additional flexible seating options and opportunities to move throughout the school day.
Adding these balls chairs and a standing desk to our classroom will provide students more opportunities to be actively engaged, improve academic success, reduce disruptive behaviors and increase movement for my 2nd grade learning community.
This project is important for all students. These flexible seating options will be available to all students throughout the day, giving the students the choice and ability to practice balance, wiggle out their wiggles, increase coordination and greater cognitive learning. Providing options for movement in the classroom gives the students the ability to move while focusing on learning. Thank you for supporting my project!
