My Students

Hawaiian, Samoan, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, German... Hawaii is a melting pot filled with diverse cultures. The same goes for my classroom. We are a melting pot of diverse cultures, personalities, learning styles, and interests!

We are so sad that we could not end the year together; however, during this time off, I want to fill my classroom with amazing flexible seating furniture for the students to be excited about when returning to school.

I am teaching 21 amazing third graders. We currently have yoga balls, stability disks, and bean bags with ALL my students love our flexible seating. However, I always have students who ask for a standing option.

My Project

My students love our current flexible seating options; however, a lot of the options are sitting on the floor like on a bean bag or pillow. The other option is a yoga ball or chair with "busy bands" on the bottom to keep the students' legs busy while they work.

Every year I have students who ask for a standing area, these desks would be a perfect way to allow students to stand while also collaborating with each other!

I think my students would really appreciate another option to choose from!
