Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is made up of 12 boys and 10 girls. We have four English Language learners in our room. We have many different races and cultures in our room. There are two students with learning disabilities. They are eager and friendly children. They are hard-working and they enjoy coming to school to learn but this year we will be starting off a little different. They love reading and exploring new things. I have been teaching for 30 years and am looking forward to giving my students some new options.

My Project

This year school is different for all. Some students are all remote from home and some are hybrid so they come to school 2 days and remote the other 3. With all the new safety protocols students can not move in the classroom like they used to. By having these Stand Up desk options students can get a break from sitting all day but still continue learning.

Stand up desks with be beneficial to the students coming into the building who might not be able to sit still for the school day.

I will be able to also use a desk to teach the students in front of me and the students who are online. It is going to be something new to be teaching in-person and online at the same time.
