My Students

I work for a school with students that come from diverse backgrounds. I do my best to challenge each and every one of my students because I have students with various academic considerations. Therefore, I work diligently to differentiate and individualize instruction, so that everyone can learn to the best of their ability.

My goal is for every student to grow and succeed, academically and socially, and come to school with a curiosity for learning.

My students are dynamic and sweet. They are incredible critical thinkers who keep me on my toes. They enjoy having fun but can also get right back to work. They are independent, perseverant, and all around amazing mini humans.

Our school is community-oriented and supportive. We value partnerships with families, and we look for ways to help our students grow. Our school has created strong partnerships in the community this year to build conscious, young learners. My students value giving back to others in return. I love to create curious, confident learners.

My Project

As a teacher that offers flexible seating, I'm always looking for research that helps support students having options and being comfortable. Research has shown that allowing students to stand, they can focus better, increase their health, and feel better about their school day.

I don't like to sit all day and I know my students don't like it either.

By allowing them the option to stand up, I'm allowing them to add movement, choice, and comfort to their day. Movement is essential for children throughout their day. A standing table is a perfect addition to our classroom so that all students are comfortable while working.
