My Students

The students at our school are genuine and caring. They are proud of who they are as a band and who they are as individuals. The students are helpful with their actions and words. I often hear them speak encouragement to each other as well as help in the content of music making.

It is important to do well musically, but our students always live by the mantra that it is more important to be good people.

They volunteer to help all their teachers out. They are active in the middle school and elementary school band programs to get those students learning and growing. The students really care about the future of our band, our school, and our world.

My Project

This project will be two parts. First off all, we have many broken cymbal stands that we are holding together with tape and odd screws. It is time we took a significant step to stop that. The two cymbal stands here will be used in class every single day, and in fact, likely used in more than one class per day.

This project will help the band program be more organized and functional.

The second part of the project is the triangle clip. The current clip we have is a style in which the triangle cannot be mounted to a music stand to be played. The player must hold the triangle clip with one hand and use the beater in the other. This clip will allow much more ease!
