This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students learn about music, whether beginning band, beginning orchestra, advanced band, or advanced orchestra, throughout the year. The students work hard to improve their musical abilities through performances and practice by showing their musical talents in concerts, festivals, and assemblies, soon will perform at other events that are to be planned in the future. Our school is an IB lead school, where students learn beyond the music, such as history, music theory, musical hand on projects and solo works.

My Project

For my project, I would like the students to have 6 new stands for classroom use. We do have some stands, but most of our stands are falling apart because of dents, missing parts, and/ or screws can no longer can be tightened. The students need new stands to help support their learning with concerts, and in class rehearsals. The students also have to transfer stands from group to group during each performance because we do not have enough stands for each group. This will give the students more stands to help with performances, so they do not have to worry about moving stands.
