My students are at a crucial age where they are preparing themselves to be successful in high school in a few years. Understanding and grasping strong writing skills is something that will benefit them now and in the future.
Middle school students are passionate and curious about current events, and learning to write clearly with voice is crucial.
My students are lively and interested in new ways to learn that capture their interest. Working together is important in my classroom.
My Project
With portable, stand-up, magnetic, double-sided whiteboards, my students will get excited about writing anywhere, anytime. Using these whiteboards will allow students to move around the room, which is so important for engagement. With the portable access, we can take our writing anywhere on campus!
Using colorful markers, standing up to write, and working with a partner or small group will appeal to middle-schoolers, especially those students who struggle with writing.
Presenting writing instruction outside of the traditional pen and paper sitting at a desk is important to engage my students.
Writing can be fun and engaging with the right tools!
