My Students

Our school is a public K-8 full inclusion located in a neighborhood of Boston that serves a diverse population of approximately 500 students from a variety of backgrounds and abilities across the city. Every student at our school will achieve his or her full potential, developing both the academic skills to excel in learning and the social-emotional skills to become an empathetic and responsible member of his or her family.

Our students have diverse learning styles, and their unique voices deserve to be heard!

Their desire to create and connect in their learning has motivated us to take their learning to a higher level.

My Project

Over the past few years, our students have performed an annual musical performance, highlighting students' abilities to act, sing, dance, as well as the many "behind the scenes" roles that are necessary for any production. While these productions have seen a lot of success, their have been technical limitations keeping these productions from reaching the next level.

With only a few wireless microphones, we are limited in the kinds of productions we perform, as only students with microphones can be audibly heard by the audience.

We perform in a space that has a lot of ambient noise, that creates far too much competition for the projection of young actors' voices. With more microphones, we will literally be able to give a voice to a larger number of students.
