My Students

Have you ever been in a meeting and needed to stand up and stretch? Now imagine sitting for 6 hour a day. Some students just do better at a standing desk.

Although my students come from diverse backgrounds, with many classified as special education, many speaking a language other than English at home and all live within an urban setting, they are so excited to come to school and learn.

They sit and listen, but soon they begin to wiggle, and then jiggle and then they just need to stand up!

My Project

I am requesting standing desks. This will allow my students to stand while at their desks instead of sit. Being able to stand will allow my students with more kinesthetic learning styles and others with attention difficulties to focus more on their work rather than focusing on the need to move.

Sometimes you just need to take a break from sitting.

Give my students a chance to take this break without taking a break from learning. You can give my students the chance to Stand and Deliver!
