Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Remember trying to make it through middle school? Now imagine that experience but you're in a different country. With a new culture. Using a foreign language. During a pandemic. Online. From home. Without school supplies.
My students are Newcomers, which means that they have all very recently immigrated to the United States.
My Project
Generous donors like you have already donated to other teacher's projects in our school's Newcomer Program and bought our students enough school supplies to go around! Now we just need to send all these supplies safely from teacher's homes to theirs!
My students are doing an amazing job WFH in their new home, but they could really use some supplies and motivation to keep it up!
And we could really use some postage to mail them these supplies so we can all continue to social distance and stay safe.
With your help, each student will receive a package in the mail containing basic school supplies: a notebook, pencils, pencil lead, an eraser, and pens. Plus I added in some snacks and stickers for a pick-me-up while they work!
