My students need GooMart 8 colors washable large ink pads, alphabet stampers, to stamp out sight words in the writing center. They need sight word bingo games to begin to identify everyday sight words.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district; my students face several challenges in and out of the classroom. Despite these challenges, I am thrilled to provide my students with quality learning experiences, ones that they will never forget.
When my kindergarten students walk through my classroom door, some often come to school brimming over with enthusiasm and excitement for learning!
Their enthusiasm for school life can be exhausting but infectious and teaching them is an exciting and joyful experience!
My Project
I am very excited to help my young students build strong phonemic awareness and letter recognition skills. The alphabet stampers, ink pad, and sight word bingo games will assist my students in learning these basic skills.
Children learn best through play-based learning.
The materials requested will allow my students to become familiar with letters and sounds in a fun manner. The stampers, ink pads, sight word bingo, and other items will be used in daily literacy workstations.
A child who is fluent in letter recognition and phonemic awareness will have greater success as a reader. Using the sight word bingo, stampers and other items will help my children build fluency.
