Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a teacher at a middle school campus that has just reopened after being closed a year ago, therefore the campus is still missing a lot of resources and necessary equipment. This is the time where my students are learning to adjust to middle school and unfortunately, reading isn't their favorite subject.
I hope to foster a love of reading and learning that my 6th grade students can take with them in years to come.
In order to do that, I want to offer a comfortable reading area with various genres and topics to entice them to fall in love with reading. Many of my students come from low income homes and may not have a lot of access to books, and I would like to offer them as many options as possible.
My Project
This project is to add more Stadium chairs for the students reading area. We were so blessed to have our first projected funded with two stadium chairs. The students love them but we still need more to continue transforming the reading area in our classroom into a more comfortable setting.
The goal of this project is to create a comfortable and inviting environment by adding more floor chairs where my students to read and collaborate with each other.
I would love to be able to provide my students with a unique and extraordinary classroom to remember with the help of unique reading area. Please help me make my classroom more comfortable and engaging for all my students.
