This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
How did your physical education class stack up when you were a kid? Did you love it or dread it? I want my students to value physical education as not just rolling a ball out but experience a plethora of long term skills that they can use for a lifetime.
I have been afforded the opportunity to educate 800+ students in grades K through 6 as their physical education teacher at a North Carolina STEM magnet school.
Our students come from all ethnic backgrounds and a variety of socioeconomic situations that are beyond their control.
My Project
I am requesting 15 sets of stacker cups to enhance my students' physical education experience. Stacker cups will be used by all students grades K through 6 throughout the year to increase motor skills, dexterity, self-fulfillment and help bridge the gap between physical education and academic success.
Due to extreme cut backs in education I don't receive any money to enhance my program or replenish damaged or worn out materials.
With the financial help of donors like yourself, these materials can be put into the students hands and possibly turn into a life changing experience.
