My students need some wood block games similar to Jenga for some cool math games. We have been wanting to make games in our Geometry and Calculus classes for a while using blocks similar to Jenga.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are honors level students in a low-income area who are working hard, some very hard with jobs and more, to make better lives for themselves and get into a good college. They are hardworking, compassionate, and determined.
Many come from a disadvantaged background, with a 65% economic disadvantage; there are students who will be the first in their family to go to college.
They know this and every day to them is a day to improve their lives and the lives of those they love.
My Project
Students become very engaged when you add the aspect of competition into their learning. From Bingo to Jeopardy, all of my students, including the ones who are normally not as easy to impress, become heavily engaged in doing the math and doing it well when we put it into the packaging of a competition through a game. I have been wanting to make games out of Jenga blocks for some time, and this year with the encouragement of my students I have decided that it was time.
We have several games already lined up that we can play with the blocks, including numbering them for questions, having equations and questions right on the blocks, and also a few building games designed specifically for these blocks and geometry.
Having these blocks would allow all those plans to become a reality.
