Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Being the Gifted & Talented/Enrichment teacher at our school, I get to work with some pretty amazing kids. My students vary from kindergarten all the way to 5th grade with various learning and emotional needs. Many students come from bilingual families or households where English is not the primary language.
Language barriers and lack of resources can't stop these future leaders from continuing to build their legacy.
Day in and day out, they continue to amaze me with their drive and thirst for knowledge. Not only do I get to work with gifted students, I also have the privilege of providing enrichment for students yearning for a greater challenge.
My Project
I want to be able to create an environment with various options for flexible seating. Students know themselves best. It is important to give students the independence to choose where they want to work. By giving students choices, I will be creating independence and providing the tools they need to stay focused be successful.
Stability ball chairs will allow me to create a more versatile classroom environment where ALL students can be successful.
It is crucial for ADHD students to have a space that promotes movement and comfort. It will also help relieve anxiety, hyperactivity, frustration, or boredom. Providing my students with stability chairs will empower student choice, increase student engagement, and improve student participation. Through your generous donation, I will be able to provide a learning environment where students can achieve their dreams.
