Help me give my students Kaplan dough, ink cartridges, and markers so that they can work on the fine and gross motor skills that will lead to being better writers as they age.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Many, if not all, of the students in my class have many risk factors to overcome. What can change that? A good education led by a teacher who cares; and it starts now Pre-K. I believe that knowledge is power and can change the path of so many lives. My students are eager to learn! I want them to love, enjoy, appreciate learning and the value of an education because we have the ability to learn something daily. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Nelson Mandela
My Project
Did you know that students are losing their finger dexterity and struggle to hold pencils due to too much technology? So to combat that we want our students to use play-dough, paint, and other things that will strengthen finger dexterity. Even at the young age of five the activities that we do daily will increase students' fine motor skills so that they can be successful in latter grades.
Students struggle with holding pencils.
I want to help them now before they spend so much time writing notes and doing more school work.
Playdough and other fine motor activities can help in a fun way.
