Help me give my students the opportunity to enhance our science life cycle unit by planting/growing seeds and creating a butterfly life cycle with pasta.

My Project

Our students love to "do" Science. Students will use the seeds, potting soil and containers to grow plants and identify stages of a plant's growth and life cycle. They will be able to observe and record their findings while taking ownership of their learning.

Bringing science to "life" helps increase participation, learning and engagement.

They love to be creative! As a performance task, the pasta will allow students to create a model of a butterfly's life cycle This will add another fun and engaging project that allows students to identify each life cycle stage.

This project will dramatically increase a hands-on approach to our life cycle unit. My students have already shown an interest in science and this project will allow them to get an up close and hands-on look at life cycles of living things.
