We pride ourselves in showing great character in and out of our classroom. My class of first graders are eager and energetic about being technology experts in the classroom! We are Jr. Panthers! Our 'Just Be Jersey' theme is seen in our district and within the community loud and proud! We have students from smaller outlying towns that come to our building for Pre-K through 1st grade. We are a Jr. Panther team, and it takes that teamwork to keep our classroom engaging and enthusiastic.
My Project
Spring is in the air and so is our mission for STEM success. My students are going to be learning and investigating life cycles, plants, natural disasters, and building sturdy structures for spring STEM challenges.
Our classroom needs additional supplies to investigate life cycles, growing plants for purpose, exploring natural disasters and building sturdy structures this spring season.
Each year our first grade classrooms have an opportunity to take part in the life cycle of a butterfly. We have caterpillars that transform into beautiful butterflies to be released prior to the end of the school year. I want my students to be able to compare and contrast life cycles with plants and animals as well. These materials will help us to be able to continue our spring season with a hands-on approach that is related to our real-world and in concepts that are age appropriate for my Jr. Panthers!
