My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds. I teach ESL students within my middle school classroom representing over 10 different countries. Besides teaching English to speakers of other languages I am also responsible for their Language Arts curriculum.
I am hoping this will encourage them to focus on their success and achievement and to be excited about their learning and bring some fun into note taking!
My Project
These materials of supplemental books and supplies will help my students find even greater meaning in their Springboard curriculum. While the curriculum itself provides many excerpts in each unit, having supplemental books to read and explore that correlate with each topic will really help to push my students further. Other supplies ordered will help to provide center and writing activities to help bring greater meaning to unit topics like "Changes in me", "The Choices we Make", "Challenges of Heroism" and "challenges facing the Holocaust". Having materials to help students delve deeper into these themes will truly make a difference in their understanding and success.
