Help me give my students motivation and support for their continued online learning. Adorable postcards and gift bags will be sent to all students letting them know that we miss them and appreciate their hard work.
My students are dedicated and hardworking. My district is a low-income district with 100% of the students qualifying for free or reduced-cost breakfast and lunch. During this unprecedented time, so many of my students are facing an uncertain future. They don't always know where their next meal will come from and are lacking the stability and routine that the school has always offered them.
Despite these difficult times, students are still learning.
They are completing online assignments and some, without internet access, are completing paper packets.
We are so proud of the work they have accomplished during this time and want to make sure that, even though we are not there with them physically, we still care about them and are thinking of them.
My Project
My 7th-grade team has amazing students that have been dealing with obstacles that have never been faced before. They are expected to continue their learning without the traditional classroom setting, and many have stepped up to this challenge. We want to reward their hard work and encourage them to continue their efforts. In addition, we want the students who have been unable to effectively do online learning, due to circumstances beyond their control, to know that they are still valued and present in our minds.
The resources that we requested will be used as incentives to ensure online learning continues for our students.
Postcards will be mailed to students encouraging their learning and gift bags will be given to students who have gone above and beyond. Our goal with these resources is to keep students motivated to complete online lessons in all subject areas, ensuring their learning continues during this difficult time.
This project will let our students know that we miss them and that they are appreciated. In an online setting, students don't see the teacher on a daily basis. They sometimes feel isolated and are unsure if the teacher recognizes their hard work. These postcards and gift bags will allow students to feel supported and cared for.
