My reading students are precious and I treasure them! As a reading specialist, I am fortunate to service young learners in kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade, coming from all walks of life. Many of my students are less advantaged and need extra support to learn. They are hard-working students, always trying their best and I’m a hard-working teacher always trying my best. Learning to read and write can be quite a challenge. Yet, they come to my class eager to learn with huge smiles on their faces.

My Project
Our district will be reopening our school buildings in September and I had to move into another classroom that needs some TLC. We need confetti and color. We need to bring some joy into the classroom. Students benefit from learning in a happy environment. They enjoy coming to a happy room and makes learning a lot more fun. It's a part of the teacher-student connection. Since we can't share supplies at this time, my students will also need their own magnetic write wipe boards to help them learn all their letters and sight words. After all our students have been through this year and continue to go through, we need them to feel happy, loved, and safe. I want them to walk into the classroom and have them get excited about being in their reading classroom.
