This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our mission is to provide a highly supportive learning environment for minority, immigrant, and other students currently underserved in traditional area high schools and greatly underrepresented in the city's STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) industries through a challenging program that emphasizes creativity, accountability, ongoing assessments, college-preparation, and high academic achievement.
100% of the students are African-American and receive free or reduced-price lunch.
Many students have been faced with childhood adversity, and many of them are learning the ways of American culture. The students are very motivated and have big goals and dreams.
To help serve the students' goals and dreams, our school is a college preparatory school that has a goal for every student to graduate high school with a high school diploma, and an Associate of Arts degree from our local community college.
My Project
With this project, you will give our fencing team, and basketball team the equipment needed to keep the gym floor clean. Right now the gym is also used as a cafeteria and it does not get cleaned after lunch. The sports teams would like to help the school out and use this equipment to be able to clean the floor before practices,

The floor tape would give our fencing team the equipment necessary to create the boundaries for fencing strips. Helping with this project will have a huge impact on our sports teams. Thank you for your help!
