Sports Lab in Need of Equipment!!

My students need basic sports equipment such as footballs and flags, soccer balls, whiffle balls and bats, bases and cones.

You can't have a sports lab without sports equipment! I teach Physical Education at a wonderful high school where I am privileged to teach freshman, sophomores, juniors, as well as seniors. Our school has some of the best test scores in the state, but our physical education department is lacking in the equipment it needs to succeed!

I am a first year teacher trying to break the mold of the stereotypical "let's roll the basketball out" P.E. class. We have an abundant supply of basketballs, which is helpful if it were a "basketball lab" class but it is a "sports lab"!

Other than the basketballs, what little equipment we have is old and worn. With bases, bats, and whiffle balls we can play whiffle ball! With flags I can divide teams for anything that we want to play, or be perfect flags in a nice game of four team capture the flag! Foam footballs and soccer balls are safer than regular balls of their kind and allow us to play kickball, flag football, soccer, and more! Cones would help me mark off boundary lines and safety hazards.
