My Students
I work at a Title One school with students of a predominantly Hispanic background. More than ninety percent of these students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Often times, the parents don't have enough resources to provide all the equipment needed for us to be successful.
We have returned back to school and still have to get in the groove of things as we learn to adapt to the "New Normal" during this pandemic.
We are delighted to be able to bring sports back into the schools as we make this adaptation to the world we are now living in.
With that being said, there are a few things we need, to have a good sports run this school year.
My Project
We need a few items to get the school's sports season started off on a good note. Our students are excited to get back to some of the normal activities of the school year such as sports, which brings on a strong sense of community and normalcy during this time.
The balls are needed for practice and the duffel bag will be used to carry equipment needed for practice and games.
As the coach, I would like a few things to help comfortably coach my student athletes as well. We will have a regular season but start a tad later than normal. It is still refreshing, to say the least.
Please help us with the equipment we need this season as we get through this pandemic!
