I am the K-6 Librarian in a small rural school in Arkansas. We are a Title One school who has a high percentage of students who speak English as a second language. Our school has a very high poverty percentage and for many of my students, the library is the only opportunity to have access to books. I want to provide my students with engaging titles that they are excited to read to help them develop a love of reading!
One of the most requested genre of books in my library is spooky, scary books for my 4th-6th graders; this project will help me update this section that is very outdated and add many new scary books they will be excited to read!
Finding a book they love is so crucial to developing a love of reading. Adding these books to the library will help me provide more books they will enjoy reading.
