Splice It Like Its Nice- Create and Edit Student Videos
My students need to utilize the technology we have in the room: through the use of 15 headphones, 1 microphone, and an iPad to create and edit their videos.
Our classroom is a highly productive setting where students build upon their digital literacy skills and inventive thinking skills, while learning to collaborate respectfully. Students know that the expectations are high- "Preparing for tomorrow's world one student at a time."
Our Middle School is a science magnet school (STEM).
Our 6th graders are full of high energy and positive creativity. Our school has high expectations and students strive for excellence. Many students in surrounding areas transfer to our school because of the high expectations, engaging curriculum, and expert and passionate teachers.
-Students will be given the chance to hear the textbook read aloud to them with the use of the headsets. We will also use the headsets for students who cannot afford their own pair or can't bring them to school.
-With the iPad and microphone, students will learn how to video, and edit their own video footage.
If this project is fully funded, students will be able to see how technology and content go hand in hand.
Students will be creating some really great high-tech projects while learning valuable technology skills which they can apply to other future contexts. Thank you for considering this project.
