Our students come from diverse backgrounds and homes. Many of our students are economically disadvantaged and may not always be granted opportunities that their peers have. Our students have a love of learning and a want to see the world. We want to be able to give them an opportunity to explore life outside of Endicott, NY.
Our students deserve a chance to explore and learn about our country by being immersed in learning through participation and hands-on experiences.
This project has the potential to change the educational lives of our students and give them an experience of a lifetime.
My Project
This trip will give our 8th grade students a chance of a lifetime to visit Washington, DC and see and experience the monuments, museums, and artifacts in this great city. Many of our students have not traveled outside our town or county and would benefit from experiencing all that DC has to offer.
Our students work hard and deserve this educational reward.
Their learning in the classroom will be greatly enhanced by visiting DC and seeing places like the Capitol Building, White House, the Smithsonian Museums, and Arlington National Cemetery. The learning and experiences that will take place on this trip will enhance students in the classroom and allow them to make connections to what they are learning in their textbooks and grant them the opportunity to experience first hand the rich history that makes the very fabric of our nation.
