My Students
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, I serve many students in elementary and high school settings with a range of communicative disorders and needs.
This school year has brought forth a need for therapists to access new and digitized materials for both virtual and face-to-face therapy sessions.
We are desperately seeking ways to adapt therapy sessions by limiting use of manipulatives and supplies in order to best keep students safe. Having digital resources will cut down time spent on sanitizing items used in therapy sessions and allow more time for instruction.
I am very passionate about my students becoming effective communicators and love to see them interested and engaged in activities!
My Project
Ways we learn and a student's ability to access the curriculum are ever-changing! During the past few months we have all been challenged to find new ways to help our students learn and grow.
As a speech-language therapist, I have always done my best to align student goals to the general education curriculum.
I am constantly searching for ways to foster development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills for my students through therapeutic interventions.
Having digital materials to provide during therapy will help spark student interest and maintain their involvement during sessions.
