Spider-Man to the Rescue!

My students need a collection of 15+ graphic novels, including "Ultimate Spider-Man" and "American Born Chinese".

My middle school students will read anything featuring Spider-Man---and clamor for more! This collection of graphic novels will hook even my most reluctant readers on books.

My multigrade Language Arts classroom contains many students who struggle to read grade level chapter books. Our three Spider-Man books are read and reread. “Can we get some more like this, Miss?” is a common reaction. I’d like to see the faces of my young readers as they open a box of new Spider-Man titles!

Several of these titles appear on Best Graphic Novels for Teen lists. All are engaging reading material and will be in hot demand during our daily independent reading for years and years to come. This collection of books will have even my most reluctant readers enthusiastically diving into a beanbag with a good book. Every reader starts somewhere, and, for many of my students, Spider-Man is a great springboard to reading longer and more challenging books.
