My students are Special Education Kindergarten - Second Grade students who attend a suburban Title I school. These students have a wide variety of physical and/or cognitive disabilities. Despite all of these challenges, they still come to school with smiles on their faces, full of questions, and ready to learn. Each day they inspire me and everyone they come in contact with to be the best they can be.I am lucky each and every day to be their teacher and hope to inspire them with new activities and experiences so they can be the best they can be.
These students love to inquire, learn from their friends, and learn in the most comfortable environment for them.
In order for all students to be successful: we vary learning strategies, incorporate group work, complete different hands-on projects and make sure All of their needs are met. They are an incredible group and each year I consider myself to be so lucky to have the opportunity to watch them grow over the year.
My Project
My Special Education students love to learn cause and effect by utilizing hands-on materials. Adding 3 different Spheros to my classroom will promote collaboration among my students while preparing them for the high pace technology world they will be entering when entering the workforce. We currently have a few different STEAM items in my room, but these Spheros will really enhance their learning.
Spheros will allow my students to work together, communicate, build relationships among peers and build those critical technology skills.
These will teach children cause and effect, directional skills, technology skills, socialization skills and the proper way to work together. With your help, we can make this vision a reality and help my students be the best they can be for now and the future!
