The students at our school vary from Pre-K to 6th Grade. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of learning needs and learning interest. As a Leader in Me School, we are always trying to help our students become leaders by helping to provide them with opportunities to be helpers within our school. We also provide them with various clubs to help spark their interest and lead them to fun and engaging learning opportunities many wouldn't have otherwise.
Throughout the school, students get to choose a monthly club of their choice. We encourage both boys and girls to join the club and get engaged in STEM/ coding activities. A variety of students including both boys and girls are interested in learning more about coding . In order to provide students with an opportunity to learn about coding I am requesting Spheros. Spheros are a programmable small robots that all students can use despite their coding ability. We plan to use the Spheros to teach the basics of computer programming to grades 4-6 at a programming club time every month. The Spheros will not only be used within our Spheros Coding Club but also will be allowed to be checked out by teachers in the school for STEM times in their classrooms.
Please consider donating to our club/ school project and help us get Spheros for both boys and girls in our school to use and become skilled coders!
The Spheros would benefit all students throughout the school by allowing them the opportunity to learn about coding in a fun and engaging way.
