This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in a low-income/high poverty school district on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio. My scholars are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. The scholars always seem to come into school with a open mind and a good attitude.
Despite this difficulty, my students are kind, generous and care about their school.
All of the scholars work hard in many classes, they are curious and they love a challenge
My Project
I am excited to start a inquiry based learning environment for a
bunch of eager middle school students this year.
My students attend an Urban school with the majority of them being economically disadvantaged and are on free lunch.
My students are at a Inquiry based school that allows them many opportunities to be involved in a new way of learning in school.
All students are always excited to learn when you put new technology in their hands. My students will be able to take on a whole new way of learning and showing what they know by programming the Sphero to move how they want. They will be able to use the Spheros in groups of 3 to work as a team identifying how to code or any type of specific objective given. These Spheros will also be a great way to differentiate.
Spheros allow students to code with collaborative STEAM activities and help guide imagination in ways no other education program can.
