I teach at a Title I school in a small town in a rural area of North Carolina. 66% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are a community of learners where each person knows that they are important and that their voice is valued; together we can achieve anything!

My Project
My second-grade students are so excited to learn more about spelling and the ways that letters work together to form new words. We have been examining words closely and learning ways to code the words that will help us to read unknown words in books.
The magnetic word building tiles will provide an engaging way for students to practice building and spelling words with the new phonics patterns that we learn each week.
The LCD boards will provide a fun way for students to practice writing and coding the words. Writing sentences and short responses to texts will be so much fun with the gel pens!
