My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income school district, and my students are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep them learning and want to provide my students with creative and meaningful educational experiences.

Spelling is a challenge for many students.

I have used Quick-Word books in the past. They help students quickly find commonly used words. They help students see the frequently used words they have written down.

My Project

The books that I am requesting can be used on a daily basis. The books have many common words listed in them. It gives students a place to write words they struggle to remember. This helps them with writing. It is a great resource as they are just learning dictionary skills.

These books are like a mini personal dictionary.

Students can find words quickly and easily in these books. This makes them more willing to look up words rather than guess at a spelling. This is an easy way for reluctant writers to have success.
