The students in my classroom are children from working families who spend most of their day in a learning environment. The children in my classroom love to have fun while learning, but they also enjoy a good book to read and learn from. The children in my classroom come from various ethnic backgrounds and have many different levels of learning. I like to give each student the same opportunity to learn while having fun.
As we all know, it takes a village to raise children these days.
My students require lots of different activities to keep them involved and to stay focused. A typical day in my classroom consists of the students doing homework, enrichment activities, recreation games, and art.
My Project
The use of speed cups, bats and balls will be a weekly activity in my classroom, especially on our non-school days. The speed cups allow children to see who can stack and take down the fastest, as well as provide a child to just stack on their own. When something goes awry, students know that they can take it down and start again. Even if a child is not the fastest at stacking cups he/she can enjoy the speed cups with a friend or classmate. The use of bats and balls allows a child to improve their hand eye coordination in judging when to swing the bat to hit the ball.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student hand eye coordination, you will ultimately help to increase their speed.
First and foremost is to give all students a chance to play speed cups in class without brain overload. They can control the speed in which they play. This will enhance the environment not only in the classroom but on the playground as well. Secondly, be able to continue working on their hand eye coordination on the playground as well.
