I am a dedicated speech-language pathologist working with students who have articulation impairments, expressive or receptive disorders, autism, fluency disorders and social communication deficits. This is my first year, so I'm looking for materials to help my students succeed while staying motivated!
Many of my students are from low-income homes and I want to do everything I can to help them succeed academically and communicate effectively to build connections with peers and adults!
My students are dedicated to their education and try their best in speech therapy everyday. No matter what they may be going through, they bring the best version of themselves to speech therapy every day and are truly inspiring. All of the materials donated to my kids will be truly appreciated and used to work toward their speech and language goals.
This project contains everything my students need to succeed with their speech and language goals. Games not only help to motivate students but they teach valuable lessons such as appropriate turn taking skills and give the students an opportunity to practice their social communication skills. The Whisper phone will give auditory feedback to help the students become aware of the articulation errors and how to improve them. The Create-A-Scene felt board will allow my students to be creative while story telling or retelling. The Create-A-Burger game and sequencing tiles will help students improve their sequencing, organization and expressive language.
In speech therapy, language and speech skills are worked on to improve the student's success in the classroom and in their daily lives.
The Good Manners flashcards and "what would you do" jar activity will be used to target social communication skills. I want to provide a wide range of materials that can target many language goals such as reading comprehension, story retell, sequencing and social communication, but I need your help!
