The students I service for speech and language therapy are diagnosed with a variety of disorders. The students I work with are in middle/high, but are functioning at a much lower level due to their disability. What makes each student special is that they’re uniquely different in their own ways. Some of the students I service are functioning on a level lower than a typical one year old child. It’s crucial to have an abudence of material to meet the needs of each individual child.
These materials will help the students of diverse needs on my caseload immensely. The students on my caseload all have different needs and what works for one student may not work for another. Therefore, in my therapy room it is crucial that I have a great deal of material and toys to use with each student. In addition, each student has different speech and language goals. Having these materials will improve my students speech and language goals. And not only the students I have this year, but for many years to come. I look forward to utilizing the material with my students.
