My Project

I recently moved into a new building after 10 years and I have found myself missing some of my favorite materials from my previous office. I have been trying to borrow materials from others, but my building colleagues don't often have the items I am looking for. The students on my caseload range from 3 years to 5th grade with various speech and language needs which require a variety of different materials. The items that I have requested will be used with PK-5th Grade students during their speech and language sessions. They will be used to target individual IEP goals and needs to help build language use, speech sound production and overall play skills. My goal is to be able to have things that can be easily grabbed from the shelf/closet that will keep the interest of the different students that I work with. Many of these students at my new building do not have access to games and materials at home. Their faces light up when they see new and exciting things to play or work with during their speech time.

I love empowering my students to communicate in ways that help them be successful at home and school and these materials will help with that goal!
