This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What do dab markers, mirrors, construction paper, tongue depressors, and an over-the-door shoe organizer all have in common?

While it might seem like an odd shopping list, these are all items a school-based speech-language pathologist use on a daily basis - if they have them!

For students working on articulation and speech sounds, a mirror helps them get a visual of the placement and movement required for each sound. Tongue depressors are used for those extra tricky sounds. Dab markers and construction paper help students independently track the number of trials they have done, keeping them engaged during the session. An over-the-door shoe organizer helps keep those articulation picture cards organized and easily accessible.
