My students need hands-on science materials such as owl pellets in order to investigate animal life cycles for our upcoming science unit.
The third grade students in my school building are highly curious and inquisitive. We lack the materials needed to facilitate higher-level thinking in our science classrooms. We want to take our kids to the next level by providing them with interesting and engaging hands-on activities for science.
Our third graders are highly motivated and curious individuals who are thirsty for hands-on activities that will challenge their thinking.
They love doing classroom investigations and answering questions. The third graders love doing hands-on science investigations but are limited due to the lack of sufficient materials in the classroom. We would love to do more STEM investigations in the classroom!
The owl pellets will provide our third graders with the opportunity to investigate first-hand the prey and predator connection for our life cycles unit on animals. Each student in the third grade will be able to work with this hands-on material, compare data with classmates and with students in other classrooms, and have a greater understanding of nature's web of life.
By supporting this project donors will have the opportunity to facilitate hands-on science learning in seven third grade classrooms.
Imagine the great fun our kids will have by investigating owl pellets and recording data about these pellets!! Fun! Fun! Fun!
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
