My students need Spectacular Stories for Students to connect to real world issues and give them coping skills needed to positively impact their school day.
Our students are a special group of kids. Our town is a small section of a small rural school district (4400 students total). The town is committed to the education of their children and very involved in the school community. The majority of students in our school district come from low-income households; the average income in our district is $19,000 a year. All of our students receive free breakfast daily, and many receive free lunch as well.
My students are curious and engaged and love to learn through our classroom guidance sessions!
However, many of our students come to school without basic classroom supplies, and budgets for materials are limited.
My Project
Books are opportunities for students to learn and grow in so many positive ways as they see and hear changes all around them in our world today. It is my hope to keep exposing children to various topics for discussion and books to read that will expose them to a world of success. Students are exposed to these issues and changes and in some cases have a negative impact.
These Spectacular Stories for Students will help students connect to real world issues and give them coping skills needed to positively impact their school day.
Students will build lifelong skills through use of these Spectacular Stories in the areas of character education, behavior, grief, manners, and self-esteem.
