My Students

I am a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face they are voracious learners!

My students don't always have access to technology opportunities and my goal is to change that.

My students work hard. They love to use technology to explore topics and themes that were previously closed to them. They also are developing an education tailored to their needs and abilities. Technology is helping us do all of these things.

My Project

The field of STEM is where future jobs will be, with these tools my students will be ready and able to step into those jobs. This will help them become better science students and build their STEM knowledge for their future.

My goal is weekly use of Snap Circuits to increase my student's hands-on ability and overall knowledge of STEM.

Circuits will teach the sixth grade students better STEM skills for their success in school and in life. The field of STEM is where future jobs will be, with these tools my students will be ready and able to step into those jobs. My students will be able to learn by doing and be creative on their own. They will develop problem solving skills and become better learners, thinkers, and doers.

With your help, we can make a difference this year and in years to come. We are so excited for this opportunity!
