This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work with a wonderful group of students who are between the ages of 5-9 who happen to have Autism and/or multiple disabilities. All of our students receive free school breakfasts and lunches due to coming from low income families. My students enjoy coming to school and feel that school is the happiest time of their days. My students are enthusiastic learners who are very thankful for any items they receive.
40% of our students are homeless.
We really could use the extra supplies at our school. We really appreciate your support.
My Project
The bean bag and different chairs will assist the students in keeping calm during learning time. The different lights and sensory toys will also assist the students in calmness and learning. They will be in an area where the students can relax and learn.
Flexible seating options help special needs students focus.
Students can get their wiggles out and strengthen their core by using the wiggle stools and balance ball chair. The fidget toys and essential oils will keep students entertained while engaged in learning and creating a comfortable learning environment.
