Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Science classroom, both Regular and Pre-AP, is a place of exploration and discovery. Students are challenged daily and high expectations have been set. They are asked to do their very best. Students will spend the school year learning about their love for science.
My students are eager to explore the world of science.
They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge themselves for the sake of learning and making their teacher happy. They are enthusiastically awaiting the supplies to complete their final product.
85% of my students are considered to be economically disadvantaged. They are eager to learn but outside circumstances may hold them back. Your generosity will make a world of difference to them.
My Project
The 70 page spiral notebooks will make a difference in how my students take notes and study those notes. By creating an interactive notebook using colored ink as well as colored paper, the information they are learning will catch their attention. For example, creating card sorts out of colored card stock and being able to manipulate them while studying. All papers done in class will be taped down in the notebook giving students easier access to all their papers in one location.
By adding a minimum of four colors per page students will be able to see at first glance where one set of notes end and the other begins.
This will make studying easier for them and more enjoyable! Students will be learning organizational skills as they create this Spectacular Science Interactive Notebook.
