My Students
We're back at it again! My kids were so blown away by your initial outpouring of generosity that we want to try and see if we can gain access to even more of what the world has to offer! My classroom will benefit special education students by creating a nurturing environment for students to have a small group special education together. We hope to integrate STEM and art into our learning environment. I want my room to feel comfortable and to be a safe space that allows students to reach their true potential, emotionally and academically.
My Project
We all learn and experience things differently growing up! For many of my special education students, the world can be overwhelming and, at times exhausting!
With the help of specific sensory tools we hope to be able to take a moment to re-center ourselves and be the best students we know we can be!
Each and every student is unique, while some are overwhelmed by stimuli, other have trouble focusing or staying alert when they don’t have the right kind of proprioceptive or tactile input. Through this project, my students and I hope to embrace the uniqueness of each child's needs and learning style.
