My students need headphones for when they are listening to books on tape or programs that are provided on the computer.
Half of my class are auditory learners and with that many of them use the computer and books on tape to understand the curriculum that is provided to them.
My students attend a low-income school with a school population of more than 400 students.
I work with the special needs population and all of my students work exceptionally hard each day to understand what is being presented to them. Each student has their own frustration levels and this donation would be able to ease that frustration level.
My classroom is the pilot classroom to see about iPAD usage and how much it will increase my student populations learning within the classroom. Right now, they can only have the volume at a very low level because of how many students are in the classroom. With this donation of headphones to my classroom, each of my students will now be able to listen to stories, hear the directions from any app, play games and even do things as simple as hearing the letter sounds of the alphabet.
Donations to my classroom will not only allow my student to now hear the different apps that they are interested in but the real impact will be that they will now be able to grow, even more than before, just because they can really hear the app that they would be working on.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
