Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach third grade math and science at an excellent school that let's me do the creative activities that make school meaningful. I currently only have desks and a carpet for classroom seating. I am looking to provide my students with more options for seating. As a child in the stage of development it is hard to stay seated at all times. Brain breaks help with that but my classroom vision involves stools and beanbag chairs. I hope you can help me make it happen!

My Project

These seats would complete change my classroom dynamic. I would be able to have students reading or doing centers on the floor. I would be able to have students who cant sit still feel more comfortable in a stool rather than desk and chair. I have so many students who say they want to sit alone but most of my desks are in groups. I can help all my students out by having more seating options. I think that being comfortable in the classroom will really help the quality of learning.
