We need additional seating and storage for our classroom.
My students are a wonderful group!
I am fortunate to loop between 2nd and 3rd grade so I had many of the same students last year. These boys and girls have gone through more in the past four months than many can imagine. An EF5 tornado destroyed more than 60% of our students' homes along with the neighborhood that surrounds our school.
My Project
I am requesting two student storage benches that will each provide seating for three students. They have space underneath to hold book boxes. Our classroom is like so many others-we don't have all of the space and storage we need. These storage benches will provide special seating areas for my students and give us a place to store six book boxes underneath. We are also requesting four sit-upon cushions that are made for the top of these benches. They will add comfort and color to our classroom.
My students sit at tables so storage space is limited.
We do not currently have enough space to store all of our classroom books. These student storage benches will give my students a special place to sit for various classroom activities. Having a place to keep books will allow us to sort our books by topic and have an additional space to store them.
